The Angel Reese Barbie collaboration between Mattel and Reebok officially launched Sunday during a pink-themed Atlanta Dream game at State Farm Arena. The new partnership means Reese is now the first Black WNBA player to land a signature Barbie doll.
The doll features an all-pink Dream uniform, her signature leg sleeve, and the Reebok Angel Reese 1 sneaker in a limited "Barbie" colorway. Mattel said the collab recognizes both Reese's on-court talent and her advocacy through the Angel C. Reese Foundation.
Angel Reese Goes From 'Bayou Barbie' to Official Barbie Collaboration
Reese picked up the "Bayou Barbie" nickname at LSU after winning the 2023 NCAA championship.
Since her April trade from Chicago, she's rebranded herself as "Atlanta Barbie." On Sunday, the arena matched the energy. Fans grabbed Barbie-script "Angel" hats and pink merchandise while Dream players warmed up in themed shirts. Even the stadium announcer had the doll perched on his shoulder during the broadcast.
The Barbie deal adds to Reese's growing off-court portfolio that already includes a Reebok signature shoe, an ownership stake in Togethxr, and more than 20 brand partnerships.
