Vicky López added another trophy to her growing collection on Monday, picking up the Young Talent of the Year award for a second straight year at the 2026 Ballon d'Or in London.
The FC Barcelona midfielder took home this year's Kopa Trophy days after turning 20, already going two-for-two since the women's category was introduced.
López Delivers Another Strong Season with Barça
After a productive 2025/26 campaign, the Madrid native had a clear case for the award.
López tallied a 12-goal, 13-assist season over 45 matches while helping Barça top Liga F, Copa de la Reina, the Spanish Super Cup, and the UEFA Women's Champions League. Her tight footwork and vision in the final third made her a constant in coach Pere Romeu's lineup.
However, López praised her teammates while accepting the esteemed award. "This award would not be possible without my team mates who make me better," she said.
She also gave a nod to her late mother during her speech saying, "Thank you for teaching me so many things."
López owns every edition of the award since the women's category launched two years ago. Five seasons into her time at FC Barcelona, the Spanish international now has four Liga F titles and three Champions League crowns along with her two Kopa trophies — and all before turning 21.
