Daria Saville put a call out for shoes last Wednesday after she lost her grass-court shoes on the Autobahn on her way to the Bett1Open.
“Was travelling to Berlin by car and my only grass court shoes flew on autobahn including my tennis bag and some other stuff lol. I still have rackets tho,” Saville wrote on social media.
It’s funny but also not funny cause I don’t have grass court shoes for when I play on Saturday 🥲 pray for me pic.twitter.com/yrYUpzSI2M

Saville ended up wearing a borrowed pair from Australian player Storm Sanders, and the “good luck shoes” have seen Saville through to the Round of 16 in Berlin after she downed Jil Teichmann on Monday.
Saville, who entered the tournament as a qualifier, came back to beat Teichmann after dropping the first set at the Wimbledon tune-up.
The 28-year-old is currently ranked No. 104 in the world.
