Breanna Stewart underwent surgery for a minor repair and reinforcement of her left Achilles, the Seattle Storm announced Thursday. Dr. Martin O’Malley in New York performed the Storm forward’s surgery on Wednesday.
Stewart missed Seattle’s last two regular-season games and the team’s single-elimination playoff game against Phoenix after injuring her left foot during a Sept. 7 matchup against Washington.
Prior to her injury, Stewart was averaging 20.3 points and 9.5 rebounds this season for the Storm.
The team expects Stewart to make a full recovery and be available for the start of the 2022 WNBA training camp.
