Caitlin Clark is skipping the links this fall. The Indiana Fever guard will not play the LPGA Tour’s scheduled pro-am at The Annika 2026, ending a two-year run at the event.
It marks her first absence since she entered the WNBA.
Mike Nichols Confirms Clark "Is Not Going to Be Playing" The Annika Pro-Am
Group 1001 Sponsorship Chief Mike Nichols confirmed the news to Golfweek by simply saying, “She is not going to be playing this year.”
He subsequently praised the energy Clark brought over the last two years while adding that organizers hope to have her back.
The pro-am returns November 12-15 at Pelican Golf Club in Florida, anchoring the three-day LPGA tournament schedule. Clark gave no public reason for stepping away.
Clark's Opts Not to Add to Her Growing LPGA Momentum
Clark played the pro-am in 2024 and 2025. In 2025, she hit from the 14th tee and putted on the 18th green while teaming with LPGA Tour star Nelly Korda. Her Fever teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull caddied, while the Golf Channel produced a three-hour show around the Indiana Fever superstar.
Of course, her presence moved the needle.
“I think it just shows how powerful supporting one another can truly be,” Clark said during her 2025 appearance.
