The forward set a career high on the boards as just one of two players to score in double-digits for the Cardinal. Francesca Belibi contributed 14 points and five rebounds on the day.
Despite being down eight with 2:19 to go, the Hoosiers didn’t go quietly, pulling within two. A last-chance Ali Patberg 3-pointer failed to tie the game and send it to overtime.
Patberg led the way for Indiana with 19 points. Nicole Cardano-Hilla had 18 points and eight rebounds. But bench points proved yet another difference-maker as the Cardinal amassed 30 to the Hoosiers’ three. Stanford also out-rebounded Indiana, 59-38.
Stanford will play No. 18 South Florida on Friday at 12 p.m. ET while Indiana will play Miami on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
