Carli Lloyd took to Twitter on Wednesday to thank the U.S. women’s national team players and staff who have made an impact on her 17-year career.

She also cited the fans, saying that her final USWNT game in Minnesota was “one of the best” stadiums and crowds she’s ever played in.

“I could not have asked for a better atmosphere to play my last ever USWNT game,” she wrote. “I didn’t block out a single thing that night.”

Calling it an “honor” to wear the crest for 17 years, Lloyd thanked everyone at U.S. Soccer for the support.

“To my teammates, I couldn’t have done this without all of you,” she said. “To all of my coaches, it wasn’t always easy but you are all apart of my journey.”

Lloyd finishes her career with two FIFA Player of the Year awards, two World Cup titles and two Olympic gold medals. The 39-year-old is also third on the USWNT’s all-time goal-scoring list.

“I will miss it so much but I am ready for my next chapter,” she added. “I am so grateful for all of your words, love and support.”
