Weekend number two of Athletes Unlimited’s softball season saw some big shakeups on the leaderboard.
Haylie Wagner and Aleshia Ocasio had big weekends while none other than Cat Osterman took over the top of the leaderboard with 830 points. Haylie McCleney is right on her heels, however, sitting at just 34 points back of the top spot with 796.
Wagner jumped 13 spots on the leaderboard with 618 points behind two stellar performances on the mound for Team Vidales. Against Team Osterman, Wagner recorded five strikeouts while giving up three runs in 3.2 innings. Two days later against Team Piper, the pitcher was again in the zone, allowing just one run in seven innings while recording five strikeouts and retiring the first eight batters she faced. She earned 208 points for outs, good for third amongst players, and 60 points for MVP status.
Ocasio jumped up three spots to claim fifth place, just 38 points out of fourth place and captaincy. She garnered 316 points for outs while also recording a single against Team Vidales.
McCleney will get to draft a team for the first time this week after having a massive weekend, including a diving catch to close out the 13-5 victory for Team Vidales on Sunday.

The outfielder now has 100 MVP points between first and second place awards as well as 550 Win points to make up the bulk of her score.
Osterman, meanwhile, did as she always does, adding 340 points to her 490 points from week one to take the top spot.
Interestingly enough, she was eighth amongst points earners for the weekend, with Erika Piancastelli grabbing the most points of any player in week two with 406. McCleney earned 376 points on the weekend. If those trends were to continue, McCleney could challenge Osterman for the top spot next weekend.
