Wednesday's DPR Korea vs Colombia semifinal ended in a 3-0 shutout, as North Korea advanced to the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup final. After netting three previous trophies, a win would make North Korea the first team to successfully defend the FIFA U-20 WWC crown.

DPR Korea's Pak Ok-i broke through in the 28th minute, scoring off a loose ball in Colombia's six-yard box. Just seven minutes later, Choe Rim-jong met a ball whipped in from the left flank. She nodded it home to double the lead before halftime.
Colombia struggled to respond after that break. Early in the second half, Seo Ryu-gyong found a pocket of space just inside the area and finished to make it 3-0. The comfortable margin ended any hope for the young South American side.
The win extends another strong U-20 World Cup run for North Korea. DPR Korea won the 2024 edition and already shares the title record with the USWNT and Germany at three apiece.
Now, Spain stands between the team and WWC history. La Roja advanced after beating Italy 2-0 in Wednesday's other semifinal. A North Korea victory in Saturday's final would give the squad four championships — the most in tournament history.
