England’s women’s national team is set to host a new international tournament beginning in 2022, the team announced Thursday.
The move means that England will no longer compete in the SheBelieves Cup put on by US Soccer.
Set to be a four-team tournament in February 2022, fans will be able to watch three double-header matches played across seven days in a round-robin format. Joining the Lionesses will be Germany and Spain, with the fourth nation to be announced soon.
England is also set to host the Women’s Euro 2022 tournament in July.
