Indiana star Aliyah Boston is officially off the WNBA injury report ahead of Wednesday's Fever vs Fire matchup.
The All-Star center's return provides a major boost for Indiana, as she gears up to for her side's first meeting with the 2026 expansion team.
Boston previously missed Sunday's 89-78 victory over the Seattle Storm due to a lower leg injury. The original setback occurred during the third quarter of Friday's loss to the Washington Mystics. Team staff kept her sidelined for the remainder of the game to prevent further irritation.
The absence marked the first time Boston sat out a regular season game since high school, ending an incredible 275-game playing streak.
The 24-year-old returned to practice on Tuesday, however, telling reporters she felt "great" and was ready to get back on the court. She also revealed that she's dealt with the injury for some time and it will require ongoing management.
"I mean, it's just my lower leg, I've definitely had some moments with that, so for me it's just about taking it day to day," Boston said.
Her return solidifies Indiana's frontcourt. Through three games this season, Boston's averaged 12 points, five rebounds, and two assists per game. She also shot 48% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc.
Indiana currently holds a 2-2 record through four WNBA games. While guards Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell carried the offensive load on Sunday, Boston's presence inside the paint changes the game plan against Portland.
