Gotham FC signed a multiyear deal with Panini America on Wednesday. It's the first club-level agreement in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) since Panini locked in exclusive trading card rights with the league earlier this year.
The partnership covers joint marketing efforts and in-stadium activations. Panini was already on-site for last week's record-setting Queens Classic at Citi Field. Going forward, the company will develop collectibles and products built around the Gotham FC roster.
"We're proud to partner with Gotham FC, one of the premier franchises in the NWSL," said Jason Howarth, senior vice president of marketing at Panini America.
Gotham FC Players Set to Feature on Panini Soccer Cards
There's plenty of star power to put on cardboard. The reigning champions have lifted the NWSL trophy twice since 2023. USWNT midfielder Rose Lavelle, defender Emily Sonnett, and forward Jaedyn Shaw anchor the squad. Sam Kerr and Esther González round out an internationally stacked roster.
Panini soccer cards have been a fixture of the sport since the company began producing FIFA World Cup stickers in 1970. But this deal brings that legacy into US women's professional soccer at the club level for the first time.
