Gotham FC’s backline has saved the day once again.
In Sunday’s matchup against Portland, Gotham’s defense absorbed a relentless Thorns attack, holding steady to keep the game scoreless until the final whistle.
In the 27th minute, Estelle Johnson denied Morgan Weaver an open-net finish with a clutch goal-line clearance, a defensive feat Gotham FC fans have come to expect from the club.

Goalkeeper DiDi Haracic also delivered an impressive performance for Gotham, notching four saves to shut out Portland.

Gotham has conceded only three goals this regular season, recording five cleans sheets in the club’s eight games.
Portland and Gotham split points in Sunday’s scoreless draw.
