With Katie Ledecky set on making history and Regan Smith looking to have a breakout Olympics, there are plenty of storylines to follow in the pool in Tokyo.
But it won’t be an easy battle for Team USA in Tokyo, as other international swimmers have made some noise in recent months — including Ariarne Titmus and Kaylee McKeown.
There are also a few new events this time around, including the 1500m freestyle and mixed medley relays.
