The NWSL’s Houston Dash and MLS’s Houston Dynamo are set to have a new majority owner.
First reported by Mark Berman, New York businessman and real estate developer Ted Segal is set to buy the controlling stake in the two teams from current owner Gabriel Brener.

The report was then confirmed by The Athletic Wednesday night. The price is estimated to be around $400 million for the two clubs, and Brener will reportedly maintain a minority stake in the organization.
According to Sportico, the sale will also include the team’s business relationship with BBVA Stadium.
Others in the ownership group include former boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya and NBA All-Star James Harden.
Alongside the NWSL regular season, the Dash are set to play in the Women’s International Champions Cup in Portland, August 18-21 against Portland, Lyon and Barcelona.
