The Houston Dash strung together their second-consecutive win of the season, defeating Kansas City 1-0 on Sunday.

The game was back and forth from the start, with the sides looking evenly matched in the first half.

Houston finally broke the deadlock in the 79th minute when Katie Naughton headed down a Dash corner that found the back of the net. The late set-piece goal put Houston up 1-0 with ten minutes left in regulation.

The Dash’s lone goal earned the team an away win and three points in the standings. Sunday marked Kansas City’s third loss of the regular season.

Following the international break, Kansas City will look for its first win when the team heads to Providence Park to face the Portland Thorns. The Dash will go head-to-head with Racing Louisville on June 20.
