The six-time Grand Slam champion dictated the match from the baseline, landing 79% of her first serves and converting 78% of those into points won.
Podoroska generated three late chances in the opening set, but none converted. Świątek then finished with 14 winners against just 13 unforced errors, a ratio that proved how cleanly she played across both frames.
The win also extended a streak only Świątek can claim. She's now reached the third round at 27 consecutive Grand Slams, a run stretching back to the 2020 Australian Open. No other player on the men's or women's tour has matched that consistency across an entire decade of major tennis.
Next up for the world No. 8 is 25th seed Marie Bouzkova, who advanced after a 6-2, 6-2 win over Harriet Dart.
Iga Świątek holds a 3-0 career record against the Czech and has never dropped a set in those meetings, including a 6-2, 6-3 result at this year's Australian Open.
