The first Nebraska vs Texas volleyball meeting of the 2026 NCAA season was decided early on Saturday in Las Vegas. The top-ranked Huskers swept No. 2 Texas with scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-16, wrapping up the Players Era Showcase schedule without dropping a set.

A 10-0 first-frame run, fueled by Bergen Reilly's serving and consecutive blocks, put the Longhorns in a deficit they never climbed out of.
From there, Husker volleyball controlled all three sets with balanced offense and pressure at the net. Andi Jackson led the attack with nine kills on .571 hitting, while Manaia Ogbechie posted seven of the team's 10 total blocks. Harper Murray added eight kills, and Teraya Sigler chipped in seven kills and two aces.
The final Nebraska volleyball score reflected a wide efficiency gap between the two teams. The Huskers hit .293 as a team. Meanwhile, Texas managed just .152. Cari Spears paced the Longhorns with 12 kills but found little support around her.
Beyond the margins, a handful of Nebraska's graduating stars had unfinished business. Four were on the court when Texas claimed the 2023 NCAA volleyball national title two years earlier. Saturday's sweep pushed the all-time series to 26-23 in Nebraska's favor.
