The top-ranked team in women's college volleyball isn't easing into the 2026 NCAA season. The Nebraska volleyball schedule is loaded with away games at pro venues across four cities before the Huskers play a single match at home.
Nebraska Faces Early Nonconference Tests on the Road
It starts Thursday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, home of the Dallas Cowboys, where Nebraska faces No. 17 Florida in Spikes Under the Lights. The inaugural tournament offers a record $1 million prize purse, the largest in college volleyball.
From there, the Huskers fly to Las Vegas for the Players Era Showcase at T-Mobile Arena, the NHL's Golden Knights home base. The marquee matchup comes Sunday against No. 2 Texas, a rematch of the 2023 NCAA volleyball national championship.
Nebraska then visits South Dakota State on September 2nd before heading to Chicago for two matches at major-league venues. The Huskers face DePaul at Wintrust Arena, home of the WNBA's Chicago Sky, on September 4th. They then take on Missouri at the Chicago Cubs' Wrigley Field in the Big Ten/SEC Challenge two days later.
Huskers Ready for Challenging Nebraska Volleyball Schedule
The road-heavy opening comes as renovations wrap up on the Huskers' home arena in Lincoln.
"It’ll be busy, but it’ll be really fun," sophomore Keri Leimbach said "I just have to think about how much of an amazing opportunity it is. Our team, you get to travel with your best friends and play on the biggest stages. It’s honestly just so cool."
