The Indiana Fever parted ways with GM Amber Cox on Friday, capping a day of major front office changes for the WNBA franchise.
Hours earlier, Indiana's president of basketball and business operations Kelly Krauskopf announced she was stepping down after nearly three decades with Pacers Sports & Entertainment.

Both executives arrived in fall 2024 to usher in the Caitlin Clark era. Cox built a roster that posted the Fever's best-ever 28-16 regular season after Krauskopf brought on head coach Stephanie White to steer the ship.
Still, 2026 marked the second straight postseason in which Las Vegas ended Indiana’s run. The Aces eliminated the Fever in five games during the 2025 semifinals, before sweeping them 2-1 in this year’s first round.
Krauskopf, who helped launch the franchise in 2000 and guided it to a WNBA title in 2012, informed ownership during the regular season that she intended to step away.
"The Fever is poised for an exciting future, and I am proud to have helped lay the foundation," she said in a statement.

But that foundation came with off-court friction.
Rallies tied to guard Sophie Cunningham's public stance against transgender athletes followed the Fever to multiple road cities, with White calling the attention "frustrating and distracting." Additionally, Cox's continued defense of Fever fan behavior drew scrutiny from some of the team's biggest stars — including top WNBA free agent Kelsey Mitchell.
The Fever plans to launch a nationwide search for Cox's replacement, while White remains in her coaching role for now. PS&E has not announced whether it'll also backfill Krauskopf's role or restructure the front office around a single hire.
