Jazzy Davidson and JuJu Watkins each landed on the Big Ten preseason all-conference team, making USC one of two programs — along with Michigan — to place multiple players on both lists.
While Watkins also earned the conference's Preseason Player of the Year honor, her teammate was the sole sophomore to be recognized by both coaches and media on the panel.
Jazzy Davidson Makes Big Impression in Freshman Year
Davidson heads into her second year after a freshman campaign that few in the Big Ten could match.
The Portland, Oregon native averaged 17.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.1 assists while becoming the lone D-I player who topped her roster in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. That output earned her both the USBWA and WBCA National Freshman of the Year awards.
No other freshman made the All-Big Ten First Team that season.
Juju Watkins Returns to USC on Top
Watkins, meanwhile, returns as a senior guard after sitting out all of 2025/26 with a torn ACL.
Before the injury, she swept the sport's top individual awards during the 2024/25 NCAA basketball season, winning the Naismith Trophy, Wooden Award, and AP Player of the Year while averaging 23.9 points per game. She enters her final year with 1,709 career points, ranking 9th in USC history.
USC opens its 2026/27 season on October 25th against Cal at the Galen Center with both all-conference players expected to be on the court.
