Brionna Jones put up 14 points and eight rebounds for Connecticut, while DeWanna Bonner added 13 points to the team’s tally.
The Sun quieted the Liberty’s offense, holding New York to its lowest point total of the season. Rebecca Allen led the Liberty with 14 points. No other New York player hit double-digits on Saturday.
With the win, Connecticut remained a perfect 5-0 at home. The Sun will look to extend that win streak when they host the Storm on June 13. The Liberty, losers of their last three, will face the Mercury on June 13.
