LSU star center Angel Reese is joining Reebok.
The brand is set to relaunch its basketball brand in partnership with Shaquille O’Neal, who recently was named Reebok’s president of basketball. Allen Iverson has joined him as vice president.
And their first signing in their new roles is a reigning national champion in Reese, who helped lead the Tigers to their first title in program history in 2023.
“For my first appointment in this role, it had to be the GOAT,” O’Neal said. “There is no one making a bigger impact on the game right now than Angel Reese.”
Reese took to social media to thank LSU associate head coach Bob Starkey for making the connection.

This was actually the first day I ever met him & it’s been history since then! Can’t thank @CoachBobStarkey enough for making this happen as well!!! 🔥💖 https://t.co/oIFMg40NFC
O’Neal also was once a star center for the Tigers before signing with Reebok in 1992 and launching the company’s first-ever signature shoe. Reese aims to follow in his footsteps, with the two collaborating on a capsule collection, which is set to launch in the Fall/Winter 2024 season.
“I am honored to be working closely with one of my longtime mentors, Shaq, along with a brand that I have admired since I was just a little kid,” Reese said. “It means the world to me that they trust in me to extend their legacy to a new generation.”
O’Neal, who starred for the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers, noted that Reese is “shaking up” the basketball space, “just like Reebok has done all along.”
“Together, I think we have a great opportunity to do things differently,” Reese said, “to inspire people to explore and express themselves unapologetically, and to show them how to look and feel good while doing it.”
