Former football federation chief Luis Rubiales could stand trial for kissing Jenni Hermoso on the lips following Spain’s Women’s World Cup victory.

A Spanish High Court judge proposed a trial on Thursday, also noting that former women’s team coach Jorge Vilda should also stand trial. Albert Luque, the men’s team’s sport director, and Ruben Rivera, the federation’s marketing chief, were also named for pressuring Hermoso into saying that the kiss was consensual.

Contrary to Rubiales’ statements, the judge said that the investigation showed the kiss “was not consensual and was a unilateral and surprising initiative.” The judge also found that there is enough evidence to proceed to trial.

Prosecutors and lawyers can still present arguments. Afterward, the court will decide on whether or not it will call a trial. Lawyers involved in the proceedings have 10 days to make a formal trial request before the court.

Previously, prosecutors charged Rubiales with sexual assault and coercion.
