Yamashita grabbed control on Thursday with a course-record 62, then followed with rounds of 64, 65, and 66 to steadily widen the gap at Royal Mayfair Golf Club. She sat alone atop the LPGA leaderboard after every round, and by Sunday, her nine-stroke cushion over runner-up Yuri Yoshida had also broken the tournament record, eclipsing Jin Young Ko's winning total of 262 from 2019.
Tying the LPGA record — paired with securing the largest victory margin in tournament history — captured how thoroughly she separated from the field.
