South Carolina is a major favorite to win the 2022-23 NCAA women’s basketball championship, per DraftKings Sportsbook, which set the team’s odds at +150.

The Gamecocks, who won last year’s title, return four of their five starters, including Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year Aliyah Boston, who averaged a double-double during her junior season.

Stanford is second on the list at +500, followed by Caitlin Clark and Iowa at +700. Stanford made the Final Four last season and won the title in 2020, while Iowa was bounced from the second round last season by Creighton.

The Cardinal have several top players, including returners Haley Jones and Cameron Brink, as well as top freshman recruit Lauren Betts. Iowa also returns its core players, led by Clark and Monica Czinano.

Tennessee’s odds are set at +800, followed by Texas at +1000 to round out the top five on the list.

UConn comes in at +1200 after finishing as runner-up to South Carolina in 2022. The Huskies are playing this season without star guard Paige Bueckers, who led them to the national title game last season.

Also listed are Louisville (+2000), Notre Dame (+2500), Iowa State (+2500) and North Carolina (+3500).
