Some 2024 NWSL kits appeared to have leaked from EA FC, with an update to the game containing six new NWSL kits – as well as some MLS kits.
All of the kits have yet to be released by the actual teams.
Among the teams are the Orlando Pride and Gotham FC.
The Pride’s away kit appears to be peach color, with teal accents. Gotham, meanwhile, is returning to their sash design while Portland is reverting back from their much talked about Ed Hardy-inspired kit to a black and gray design.
After going black-and-white last season, the Washington Spirit are continuing their rebrand with yellow away kits that feature the black and white crest and black lettering.
Angel City is one of the last teams to have its kit leaked, with an all-black home kit that features the team’s wing design in gray.
The response to the kits was immediate, with one fan likening the Spirit’s kit to a highlighter, while others have pointed out that the choice to put black on yellow is quite similar to Spirit Airlines.
Others are calling out the kit provider, Nike, for the designs.
“Nike needs to be fired , we’ve seen so many clean kits through adidas (example arsenal women’s) and yet somehow Nike gets worse and worse,” one social media user wrote.
“Honestly NWSL teams need to get away from Nike. It’s been ages since they put out a good kit for both men and women at both the national and club level,” another wrote.
