The NWSL versus Olivia Moultrie saga has come to a close, for now.
The league announced Friday that the two parties had reached a settlement agreement.
The agreement allows Moultrie to continue to play in the NWSL “unless and until the league and the NWSL Players Association agree to a collective bargaining agreement that includes an age requirement older than her then-current age.”
Conditioned on the district court that heard the case, all litigation has now officially ended in relation to the case.
“The parties are pleased to have come to an amicable solution for this unique situation and eager to move on from the litigation,” the league said in a release.
The decision comes after the NWSL filed an appeal over a preliminary injunction that enabled Moultrie to play in the league. Moultrie initially filed a lawsuit against the NWSL in May on the grounds that the league’s rule prohibiting players under 18 from competing violated antitrust law.
Moultrie, 15, has now appeared in two games for the Portland Thorns after signing a three-year contract with the team in June.
