Polish javelin thrower Maria Andrejczyk auctioned off her silver medal from the Tokyo Olympics in an effort to raise money for an infant’s heart surgery.

The Olympian received $125,000 for her medal, with the funds going to a fundraiser for 8-month-old Miłoszek Małysa, who suffers from a heart defect and is in need of life-saving surgery.

Żabka, a Polish supermarket chain, won the auction for Andrejczyk’s medal, providing the $125,000 for the boy to get surgery at Stanford University Medical Center.

In the end, Żabka returned the silver medal to Andrejczyk, donating the funds for the cause with no strings attached.
