The prolific Sam Kerr-Fran Kirby connection was on display during Chelsea’s 5-0 shutout of Birmingham City on Sunday.
Kerr and Kirby were responsible for all five of the Blues’ goals, with Kerr banking a first-half hat-trick, spurring the Australian to unleash her iconic back-flip goal celebration.
Kirby opened up scoring for Chelsea, chipping the Birmingham keeper to put her side up 1-0 in the 4th minute. She would score again in the game’s 75th minute, getting on the end of a Kerr cross for her 100th goal with the Blues.
