Sophia Smith is officially a Thorns record-breaker.
The Portland striker scored the fastest goal in club history during Saturday’s matchup against the Houston Dash. It only took 32 seconds for Smith to slot in the game’s lone goal, putting Portland up 1-0 early.

The Thorns held onto the 1-0 lead until the final whistle, securing three points in the NWSL standings. Portland is now unbeaten in their last four games.
Next up: The Thons will host Kansas City in Providence Park on Aug. 1. The Dash will face off against Gotham FC in Houston on Aug. 1.
