The awards keep on coming for Aliyah Boston, with the South Carolina star named the AP player of the year on Thursday.
Boston led the No. 1 Gamecocks to a 15-1 conference record, notching an SEC-record 27 consecutive double-doubles. Averaging 16.8 points, 12 rebounds and 2.6 blocks on the season, Boston is critical on both sides of the ball for South Carolina.
Keeping the team atop the rankings all season long, Boston rarely waivered, playing consistent basketball throughout the year.
