Seattle downed the Sparks 71-62 on Wednesday night to move back atop the WNBA standings. The Aces dropped to No. 2 after their loss to the Mercury.
Breanna Stewart led the Storm with 27 points on 53.3 percent shooting from the field. Stewart also notched 11 rebounds to record her ninth double-double of the season.

Seattle’s victory over Los Angeles secured the Storm their seventh Commissioner’s Cup win of the season. The Storm now lead the Western Conference standings by two games.
Next up: The Storm have a quick turnaround, with their next game Friday at the Mercury. The Sparks will host the Lynx at home on Sunday.
