The Atlanta Dream ended their five-game losing streak Thursday night with an 89-78 win over the Seattle Storm inside Gateway Center Arena.
In a matchup defined by Atlanta's defense, the Dream forced a season-high 21 turnovers and turned them into 28 points. Allisha Gray led all Dream scorers with 22 points, while Rhyne Howard added 19 points and four steals.
Angel Reese Makes History Before Ankle Injury
Still, the biggest stat came from Angel Reese. She recorded 18 points and 11 rebounds for her league-best 15th double-double this season, and her 64th career double-double, a record for the most across a player's first three WNBA seasons. Reese left the game in the final minute, though, after rolling her right ankle.
On the other side, the Storm vs. Dream matchup brought Flau'jae Johnson back to her home state.
The Seattle rookie scored 12 points as LSU head coach Kim Mulkey watched both her former players courtside. Natisha Hiedeman led the Storm with 20 points, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. The loss drops Seattle to 6-18, while Atlanta improves to 13-9.
Where to Watch WNBA Games This Weekend
The Dream now look to take on the Portland Fire, Saturday at 4 PM ET on CBS.
The Storm, meanwhile, will face the Washington Mystics on Sunday at 3 PM ET on WNBA League Pass.
