The U.S. women’s national team’s final games of 2021 have been set, with the U.S. traveling to Australia in late November to face their opponent from the bronze-medal game at the Tokyo Olympics.
First, the USWNT will meet the Matildas in Sydney’s Stadium Australia on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. local time. Due to the difference in time zones, that matchup in the U.S. will air on Friday, Nov. 26 at 11 p.m. ET on FS2. It will be the first time the USWNT has ever faced Australia in Sydney.
The second matchup will kick off on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 8:05 p.m. local time at Newcastle’s McDonald Jones Stadium. Those in the U.S. can catch the game at 4:05 a.m. ET on ESPN.

Ready to close out our 2021 schedule with two matches in Australia against @TheMatildas!
“This trip and these games will be fantastic tests and learning opportunities,” said U.S. head coach Vlatko Andonovski. “Getting to go to one of the countries hosting the next Women’s World Cup and having to deal with the travel and facing one of the best teams in the world is a great way to end the year. We really appreciate that Football Australia and the Australian government came together to make this trip possible.”
This will be the first matchup between the two teams since they met in the bronze-medal match at the Olympics in August. Carli Lloyd and Megan Rapinoe each scored twice to help the U.S. defeat Australia 4-3 and claim its sixth Olympic medal all-time.
The USWNT’s trip to Australia will be its first in 21 years. In 2000, the team traveled Down Under three separate times — once in January for a four-team friendly tournament, another time in June for the Pacific Cup and again in September for the 2000 Summer Olympics. It will also mark their first trip to the country since Australia was named co-host of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The USWNT is set to arrive in Australia on Nov. 23 and leave immediately after the second match.
