Dallas rallied from an 11-point deficit to defeat Chicago 99-89 in Wednesday night's Wings vs Sky matchup.
The victory snapped Dallas's six-game losing streak against Chicago, with star guard Paige Bueckers leading on offense. A dominant third quarter run ultimately determined control of the game, as Dallas outscored the Sky 34-26, shooting nearly 69% from the field.
That performance marked the Wings' highest-scoring quarter this season.
Jessica Shepard Makes WNBA History in Wings vs Sky Win
Along with Bueckers, forward Jessica Shepard helped put the visiting team on top, making history by logging the first triple-double of the 2026 WNBA season. The free-agency signing tied her season-high with 18 points on an efficient 6-for-7 shooting display. She also grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out a career-high 12 assists.
Her playmaking opened up the floor for the entire Wings roster, as a young Dallas backcourt stepped up to secure the win.
Paige Bueckers Powers Dallas Wings Offense
Bueckers led all scorers with a game-high 24 points, while rookie Azzi Fudd provided a crucial spark off the bench, tying her career-high with 12 points.
Meanwhile, veteran Arike Ogunbowale anchored the closing minutes. The guard scored 11 of her 23 points in the fourth quarter, hitting two late three-pointers to seal the deal.
The Chicago Sky competed without leading scorer Rickea Jackson, who recently suffered a season-ending ACL injury. Despite the loss, key players like Kamilla Cardoso and Natasha Cloud turned in big performances.
Cardoso paced Chicago with 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Cloud added 21 points. But Chicago couldn't contain the balanced Dallas attack down the stretch.
Both teams now sit at 3-2 for the season as the Wings travel to face the Atlanta Dream on Friday while the Sky take on the Minnesota Lynx at home.
