Becky Hammon among finalists for Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame

Becky Hammon is one of 12 finalists for the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2022. The full list of finalists was announced Thursday during the game between Louisville and NC State.

The Class of 2022 will be the 23rd group of inductees and will be announced during the Maryland-Iowa game on Valentine’s Day. The induction ceremony will take place June 11.

Listed as a finalist as a player, Hammon is a six-time WNBA All-Star and was named among the WNBA’s Top 15 Players of all-time in 2011. More recently, Hammon made headlines when she left her position as an assistant coach for the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs to become the Las Vegas Aces’ next head coach.

Also included on the list is three-time WNBA Champion (2007, 2009, 2014) Penny Taylor and two-time Olympic gold medalist (2000, 2008) Delisha Milton-Jones.
