WNBA playoff TV ratings up to highest mark in 20 years

Ratings for the 2022 WNBA playoffs are up, reaching the highest mark in 20 years.

The postseason has drawn an average of 439,000 viewers through 19 games, making it the most-watched WNBA playoffs since 2002, per ESPN.

The semifinals, featuring a four-game series between the Seattle Storm and Las Vegas Aces, and a five-game series between the Chicago Sky and Connecticut Sun, attracted an average audience of 488,000, the most since 2010.

Game 3 between the Aces and the Storm is the most-watched matchup of the playoffs, bringing in 905,000 viewers on ABC, peaking at a record-breaking audience of 1.4 million viewers.

The WNBA postseason continues Sunday, with Game 1 of the WNBA finals between Connecticut and Las Vegas airing on ABC at 3 pm ET.
