The Indiana Fever hosts the Las Vegas Aces tonight in a do-or-die Game 2 of the 2026 WNBA playoffs bracket. After suffering a 102-85 loss in the series opener, the No. 6 seed faces elimination at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
A'ja Wilson Dominates in Aces vs Fever Game 1
Much of that damage came from A'ja Wilson, who finished Game 1 with 38 points on 15-of-19 shooting, 16 rebounds, and four blocks. Her teammate Jackie Young added 21 points and 10 assists on the night. Together, they exploited a Fever defense that allowed a whopping 28 transition points.
On Indiana's end, All WNBA first-teamers Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell shot a combined 10-for-33 from the field. Clark also recorded 10 assists, but turnovers and cold shooting sidelined the Fever, especially in the third quarter.
"They're good defenders, but at the same time, we made it hard on ourselves, too," Clark said after the loss. "Our actions were sloppy."

Even so, the regular-season Aces vs Fever series favored Indiana 2-1. The Fever also bounced back from a Game 1 loss in last year's playoffs bracket. They'll look to do the same at home in front of a "Red Out" crowd that could provide the edge they need to keep the Aces from advancing.
