The U.S. women’s national team will participate in the inaugural Concacaf W Gold Cup in 2024, starting with three group-stage games in seven days in February.
The USWNT will kick off its Gold Cup play on Feb. 20, and then will play its next two Group A contests on Feb. 23 and Feb. 26. All Group A matches will be held at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif., while Group B matches will be at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego and Group C at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston.
Should the USWNT advance, the quarterfinals will be held on March 2 and 3 at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Snapdragon Stadium, which hosted the 2023 NWSL final, will host the semifinals on March 6 and the championship match on March 10.
“San Diego and Snapdragon Stadium will be a tremendous host for our inaugural Concacaf W Gold Cup Final, and I want to thank the city and the venue for their commitment to working with us to further grow women’s football in our region,” said Concacaf president Victor Montagliani said in a statement.
The USWNT became the first team to qualify for the new tournament, courtesy of its Concacaf W Championship victory in 2022. The complete draw for the tournament, which will decide the USWNT’s Group A opponents, will take place on Dec. 11.
