Chelsea FC and USWNT star Alyssa Thompson is letting fans in on her pregame vibes, linking up with EA Sports and Spotify to drop a playlist as part of her GEN / EA SPORTS partnership with the video game giant.
Initially named to the first GEN / EA SPORTS athlete class in September 2024, Thompson released the 49-song "Good Vibes" Spotify playlist on Tuesday in the latest move in her collaboration with the gaming brand.
"This playlist is great music that fits a lot of moments for me," the 21-year-old said on Instagram, with her playlist packed with songs by SZA, Frank Ocean, Adele, Childish Gambino, Beyoncé, and Erykah Badu, as well as classic artists like Al Green and Marvin Gaye.
According to EA Sports, the collab spotlights "the personal soundtracks of the next generation of sports icons through a series of official playlist drops curated by GEN / EA SPORTS athletes."
Originally launched with four athletes "who are carving their own paths and influencing sport, in, and out of, the game," the GEN / EA SPORTS partnerships aim to "co-create content," as well as "partner on initiatives personal to each of [the athletes], and engage sports fans where they are."

Stars of the 2025 Euro stole the EA FC 26 spotlight this week, as the video game giant's fan-voted 2026 Team of the Year recognized some of international soccer's top achievers on Thursday.
Champions England fielded four honorees as forward Alessia Russo joined a trio of Lioness defenders — Leah Williamson, Millie Bright, and Team of the Year captain Lucy Bronze — on the 11-player list.
"Being named the first-ever Women's EA Sports FC TOTY Captain is an honour," Bronze said in a statement. "2025 was an amazing year — winning the Euros again and picking up my first BWSL with Chelsea — so much of that success is thanks to our fans, and it's great to see them recognize my efforts with this award."
The rest of the EA FC 26 Team of the Year also favored European titans, as Euro runners-up and Nations League winners Spain also saw a quartet of players make the roster. La Roja fully owned the Team of Year midfield as stars Aitana Bonmatí, Mariona Caldentey, and Alexia Putellas joined forward Clàudia Pina on Thursday's lineup.
Rounding out the squad were three other European club standouts as EA FC 26 also tapped Chliean goalkeeper Christiane Endler (OL Lyonnes), French defender Selma Bacha (OL Lyonnes), and Polish forward Ewa Pajor (FC Barcelona).
Football Manager is expanding its virtual horizons, with the popular soccer video game's latest release — FM26 — featuring women's teams for the first time in history.
The FM26 lineup spans some 40,000 players across 14 leagues, including the NWSL, the UK's WSL and WSL2, Germany's Frauen-Bundesliga, Italy's Serie A, and Japan's WE League as well as the UEFA Women's Champions League.
Football Manager's new women's soccer offering follows similar moves from other video game entities, with EA Sports also expanding its integration of women's teams and players across its NHL, FC, and NBA2K games in recent years.
Launched in 2004 by British developer Sports Interactive and gaming giant Sega, Football Manager puts users in the driver's seat of their favorite teams, navigating club finances, player transfers, tactics, and even training plans in the hunt for success.
To mimic the manager role most realistically, FM amasses extensive data on players and clubs — with that information bank now so deep on the men's side that clubs have employed it for scouting purposes for over 10 years.
The road to launching a similarly real-world women's game required similar stat-gathering, a project which began in 2021.
"An army of people from the women's game helped us, who wanted us to ensure that women's football was properly represented," said Sports Interactive studio director Miles Jacobson.
Football Manager also recreated their motion capture models using former WSL and WSL2 professional players, twins Mollie and Rosie Kmita, to accurately portray women's movement and body structure in FM26.
"Growing up, I would never have imagined playing Football Manager because it wasn't a space for us," Mollie told BBC Sport. "I think we're about to engage a whole new audience and I'm excited to see how this community continues to grow."
