Swiatek has been on a roll since the year began, running off 35 straight match wins to tie Venus Williams for the longest winning streak of this century and the third-longest streak since 1990. She also joined Serena Williams as the only women to have won six titles in the first six months of a year.
Her grip on the No. 1 world ranking is also staggering. With 8,631 points, the 21-year-old holds a 4,305-point lead on second-ranked Anett Kotaveit.
At Wimbledon last year, Swiatek lost to Ons Jabeur in the fourth round.
