The Toronto Tempo snapped a two-game losing streak Wednesday night, defeating the Chicago Sky 111-104 at Wintrust Arena.
Forward Nyara Sabally led the way with a career-high 29 points, dominating the floor by shooting an efficient 11-of-14 from the field. The big also contributed six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks to help her team control the tense game.

2026 WNBA expansion draft selection Marina Mabrey joined in on the attack, recording 24 points and seven assists. However, the Tempo as a whole were proficient from the key, converting 56% of their field goals while hitting 12 three-pointers in the contest.
By halftime, the expansion team had built a 55-48 lead. Following the break, they widened that margin to 14 points, but the Sky fought back.
Rookie guard Sydney Taylor scored a season-high 27 points off the bench to help Chicago mount a furious fourth-quarter rally.
The Sky eventually trimmed the deficit to 98-96 with just over three minutes remaining in the game. Skylar Diggins fueled the comeback with 23 points and nine assists, while Natasha Cloud added 18 points.
Despite the pressure, Toronto responded with a decisive 8-2 run to seal the win. Mabrey hit a crucial step-back jumper before Sabally drained a clutch three-pointer to push the lead to eight points with under two minutes to go.
Toronto improves to a 4-4 record on the season while Chicago drops to 3-4 after suffering their third consecutive loss.
The Tempo next faces the Seattle Storm at home on Saturday (WNBA League Pass), while the Sky host the Minnesota Lynx at home on Friday at 7:30 PM ET, live on ION.
