DeWanna Bonner is heading to the Atlanta Dream. The six-time All-Star agreed to a deal with Atlanta on Tuesday after the Phoenix Mercury bought out the remainder of her contract.
The move reunites Bonner with a playoff-ready roster. Atlanta sits at 25-13 and has already locked up postseason positioning as the No. 4 seed. With the addition, the Dream gain a two-time WNBA champion and the league's third all-time leading scorer.

Still, Bonner's production in Phoenix had dipped this season. She averaged 10.6 points and 6.1 rebounds for the Mercury, a step back from her highest career marks. Bonner's contract in Atlanta is a prorated max deal worth roughly $116,000 through the rest of the season, including playoffs.
"I don't know what the future holds, but I'm grateful to the Mercury for giving me the opportunity to play in what could be one of my final postseason opportunities," Bonner said in a statement.
Bonner is 39 and carries 17 years of experience across 572 career games. In Atlanta, she joins a frontcourt already built around Angel Reese. Her shooting and wing versatility could open up more space for Reese inside, and the Dream will need both as they push deeper into the postseason.
