Jewell Loyd is on a tear.

One game after dropping a career-high 35 points, Loyd notched a career-high seven three-pointers, putting up 21 points total. The Storm guard shot 61.5 percent from the field and 77.8 percent from deep to lead Seattle to a 99-83 win over the Liberty on Friday night.

Breanna Stewart added to the Storm’s pursuit, dropping 19 points and 14 rebounds in her first outing back after a two-game break. Friday marked Stewart’s 11th double-double of the regular season.

Sue Bird had a record-breaking game as well, draining ten points to reach the 6,500 career-point threshold, becoming the 6th player in WNBA history to do so.

Seattle’s win puts the team’s regular-season series with New York at 1-1. The Storm and the Liberty will play a decisive third game on Sept. 2.

Next up: The Storm will go on the road to face the Washington Mystics on Sunday. The Liberty will host the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday.
