Women’s college basketball viewership continues to rise, with the 2021 season numbers currently up 132 percent over 2020.

Stanford’s recent matchup with Tennessee, which was aired on ESPN2, amassed 365,000 viewers. Meanwhile, the 1-versus-2 showdown between the Cardinal and South Carolina drew 314,000 viewers.

Earlier in the season, a matchup between South Carolina and UConn drew an average of 489,000 viewers. At the time, viewership had already been up 55 percent from 2020.

Women’s sports viewership has been on the rise across leagues, with the WNBA, NWSL and NCAA all posting record numbers over the past year.
