Caitlin Clark and Iowa set the all-time women’s basketball attendance record, welcoming 55,646 fans to their outdoor exhibition game Sunday against DePaul.

In the marquee outdoor event, dubbed the Crossover at Kinnick, the Hawkeyes played on a basketball court set up near one end zone at Kinnick Stadium.

Clark, who enters the 2023-24 season as the reigning National Player of the Year, made a splash at the game. She recorded a triple-double of 34 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in the Hawkeyes’ 94-72 win. Last season, the guard played a key role in leading Iowa to the national championship game in April.

Proceeds from the ticket sales will go toward the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, which overlooks the stadium. Players, coaches and fans waved toward the children watching from the hospital windows, borrowing the tradition from the Iowa football team.
