The Dallas Wings sit at 18-9 coming out of the All-Star break, fresh off a franchise-best six-game win streak. Even so, GM Curt Miller isn't ruling out a roster change before the WNBA trade deadline next week as rumors start to rise.
Miller told reporters Monday that front offices across the league are talking. He also noted the team could still use more frontcourt depth, despite ranking among the WNBA's top defensive rebounding groups this season.
Still, pulling off a trade won't be easy.

Salary cap constraints narrow the options. And with six games packed into the first 12 days back after WNBA All-Star Weekend, there's almost no practice time to work a new player into the rotation.
The schedule ahead only adds pressure. Most of Dallas' first 10 post-break matchups are against teams also sitting in playoff spots.
None of that has changed Miller's mindset, though.
"You can't be afraid to make bold moves when you have a championship opportunity," Miller said. "It’s easy to become comfortable with sustained success, but championship windows don’t stay open forever."
As WNBA trade rumors build leaguewide, the Dallas Wings face a familiar tension: balancing a push for better post-season rankings against a core that could need new contracts soon.
