The England women’s national team continued its recent run of dominance Tuesday, as the Lionesses surged to a 10-0 win against Luxembourg to end their World Cup qualifying run.
England already clinched its qualification for the 2023 tournament in Australia and New Zealand with a 2-0 win Saturday against Austria, but that didn’t stop the Euro champions from closing out the UEFA group stage with a bang.
Georgia Stanway got things started in the 11th minute off a penalty, notching her eighth goal of the year for England. She would get another in the 26th minute.

Back-heel hero Alessia Russo scored in the 18th minute, between Stanway’s tallies. Both Rachel Daly and Beth Mead would go back-to-back within one minute of each other in the 38th and 39th minutes, respectively.
The Lionesses ended the first half with a 5-0 lead, and they added five more in the second half. Tuesday’s match marks England’s 1oth match of the group stage and its sixth with five or more goals.
In between its group-stage wins, England won the Women’s European Championship, which included a 2-1 win over Germany in the final.
England has gone undefeated under head coach Sarina Wiegman in the year since her hiring.
