The women’s gold-medal match will serve as the finale of the Olympic soccer tournament at the Summer Games in 2024.

The Paris Olympics will mark the first time the soccer competition will conclude with the women’s final instead of the men’s, FIFA revealed Wednesday when it announced the full soccer tournament schedule for the Games.

“That this should take place in France is particularly exciting,” FIFA president Gianni Infantino said in a statement. “A country with a distinguished history of developing and excelling in both men’s and women’s football, which has hosted some of the most iconic FIFA tournaments in history, including the last FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2019, and where FIFA has recently re-opened an office to better serve its 211 member associations.”

The women’s final is set for Aug. 10 at the Parc des Princes in Paris, while the men’s final will take place one day before on Aug. 9. The combined tournament will begin on July 24 and tour seven different cities in France: Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Nice and Saint-Etienne.

The French women’s national team will play on July 25 in Lyon, which hosted the 2019 Women’s World Cup final that the U.S. women’s national team won. The USWNT has already secured its Olympics spot for 2024 with its recent Concacaf W Championship title. Brazil and Colombia also have secured their spots by advancing to the final of the Copa América Femenina.
